A Craniofacial Morphology Study Of Patients With Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Masalah tidur obstruktif apnea (OSA) didefinisikan sebagai pemberhentian pernafasan berulang (apneas) yang berlaku sekurang-kurangnya selama sepuluh saat atau lebih pada sesuatu ketika semasa tidur.
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is defined as a repetitive cessations of breathing (apneas) lasting for at least 10 seconds or more for each event during sleep
Quality control for automatic inspection of threaded components
Manual inspection and testing of threaded
components, specially in high volume manufacturing
processes are time consuming and costly.
There are three different types of error which may
occur within the tolerance zone specified by the metric
thread ISO system, which are as follows:
(i) Error of the flank angle.
(ii) Error of pitch over the length of fitting.
(iii) Error of effective diameter.
Additionally, material build-up which blocks the
threaded zone may also render the component to be
rejected. These error may occur due to the manufacturing
process itself, either by cutting or rolling, such as
tool and die wear, materials defects , etc.
This thesis describe the design and development
of an automatic inspection system for threaded
components.
The system consists of a mechanical sensor, which is
interfaced to a PC and the operational tracing cycle of
the system is controlled to carry out the following
operations.
(1)- Belix path inspection.
(2)- thread form inspection.
The results of the helix path and the thread
form tracing are presented for the ISO metric
thread: (M6), <M8), and (M16), together with the
operational cycle
A Craniofacial Morphology Study Of Patients With Obstructive Sleep Apnea [RC737.5. M697 2005 f rb].
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is defined as a repetitive cessations of breathing (apneas) lasting for at least 10 seconds or more for each event during sleep. The respiratory muscles attempt to inspire, but blockages in the upper airway prevent air from reaching the lungs.

A Real-Time Energy Consumption Minimization Framework for Electric Vehicles Routing Optimization Based on SARSA Reinforcement Learning
A real-time, metadata-driven electric vehicle routing optimization to reduce on-road energy requirements is proposed in this work. The proposed strategy employs the state–action–reward–state–action (SARSA) algorithm to learn the EV’s maximum travel policy as an agent. As a function of the received reward signal, the policy model evaluates the optimal behavior of the agent. Markov chain models (MCMs) are used to estimate the agent’s energy requirements on the road, in which a single Markov step represents the average energy consumption based on practical driving conditions, including driving patterns, road conditions, and restrictions that may apply. A real-time simulation in Python with TensorFlow, NumPy, and Pandas library requirements was run, considering real-life driving data for two EVs trips retrieved from Google’s API. The two trips started at 4.30 p.m. on 11 October 2021, in Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida, to reach EV charging stations six miles away from the starting locations. According to simulation results, the proposed AI-based energy minimization framework reduces the energy requirement by 11.04% and 5.72%, respectively. The results yield lower energy consumption compared with Google’s suggested routes and previous work reported in the literature using the DDQN algorithm
Clinical presentation, treatment and outcome of paraphenylene-diamine induced acute kidney injury following hair dye poisoning: a cohort study
Introduction: in Africa and Asia hair dye is applied together with henna to decorate the hands and feet. Paraphenylene-diamine (PPD), a highly toxic constituent of hair dye can lead to acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods: a cohort study was conducted during the period from April 2012 to March 2013 in Khartoum Teaching Hospital, Sudan. It targeted adults presenting acutely with an evident history and clinical features of hair dye poisoning, together with AKI as per the RIFLE criteria. Analysis of data was done using SPSS. Results: 30 adults were included, their mean age was 25.6 ± 4.2 years, 93.3% were females. Exposure to PPD was suicidal in 86.7%. The mean duration to onset of renal symptoms was 34.8 ± 7.6 hours, maximum median serum creatinine was 8.6 ± 2.3 mg/dl, 86.7% had loss of kidney function as per the RIFLE classification and required dialysis. Initial renal recovery was seen after a mean duration of 9.8 ± 2.2 days. One patient died, 3.3%; all others, 96.7%, recovered normal kidney function. The amount of ingested PPD correlated significantly to the severity of symptoms, number of dialysis sessions required and time for renal recovery with P values < 0.05. Conclusion: hair dye poisoning was associated with prolonged hospital stay, requirement of dialysis and increased morbidity. The severity of symptoms directly correlates to the dose of PPD ingested, with the kidney damage being reversible in almost all survivors.Key words: Hair dye poisoning, paraphenylene-diamine, acute kidney injur
UTILIZATION OF DYNAMIC RELAXATION METHOD IN SOLVING ORDINARY AND PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS OF RECTANGULAR ENGINEERING STRUCTURES
The method of dynamic relaxation in its early stages of development was perceived as a numerical finite difference technique. It was first used to analyze structures, then skeletal and cable structures, and plates. The method relies on a discretized continuum in which the mass of the structure is assumed to be concentrated at given points (i.e. nodes) on the surface. The system of concentrated masses oscillates about the equilibrium position under the influence of out of balance forces. With time, it comes to rest under the influence of damping. The iterative scheme reflects a process, in which static equilibrium of the system is achieved by simulating a pseudo dynamic process in time. In its original form, the method makes use of inertia term, damping term and time increment. The basics of this research paper stand on the ordinary and partial differential equations, which value the price of an option by using dynamic relaxation (DR) techniques. The study of partial differential equations in complete generality is a vast undertaking. As almost all of them are not possible to solve analytically we must rely on numerical methods, and the most popular ones are the finite differences methods coupled with dynamic relaxation techniques. With this research paper i do not intend to become an expert in few hours in order to solve differential equations numerically, but develop both intuition and technical strength required to survive when such a problem needs to be solved
